Server reboots - security updates
Our provider has finished patching servers to mitigate against this vulnerability, and no further reboots are expected.
Our provider is performing unscheduled emergency maintenance across servers to install security updates.
This is needed to apply a critical kernel patch to mitigate CVE-2026-99999: https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/cve-2026-99999 - which is being applied at short notice across different servers: https://status.linode.com/incidents/zp71823t318w.
This may result in certain hosted websites being unavailable for a 20 minute period.
We'll be monitoring this situation, and will post further updates if it causes an impact on hosted websites.
